I have much experience and a deep interest in working with adultswith neurodiversity and the associated issues that may make life difficult for the neurodivergent person. My role is to enable the client to better understand and appreciate theirself, to manage the story or narrative they were told about theirself, and to deal with the anxiety, shame or other issues that may come from this narrative.
I also work on finding strategies that make life a little easier such as understanding and finding supports, both socially and practically.
I also provide support to those who support children, family members, friends or colleagues who may be neurodivergent.
Facilitation of groups of varying sizes in a variety of settings

I provide support to families and parents struggling with the everyday and not so everyday issues that come with raising a family. My work here is essentially is to support the parent, better anabling them to support their child or partner or other members of the family.
My way of working is to use a strengths-based aproach to support people to support themselves. After 13 years working as a psychotherapist & a total of 18 years working in the caring professions, I realise that understanding ourselves and our reactions is key to living a less complicated, more contented life. At your own pace I will facilitate you to gain an understanding of yourself and the life around you, helping you make the changes you wish. My goal is to help people develop their own individual resources & coping mechanisms, which they can then apply to their own life going forward.
I have many years of experience working with people who have suffered traumatic events both in childhood & adult life. I also have vast practice in supporting people who suffer through anxiety, depression and severe life stress experiences. I use my training in and knowledge of Neurology and the Human Nervous System, well as Polyvagal Theory and Internal Family Systems to inform my practice and help me make individualised treatment plans for my clients.
Having worked in the caring profession for many years, I understand very well the trials and difficulties which people of all ages face. I work in an understanding and non-judgemental way to help people to help theirselves, so that they may reduce stress and hardship, and build a fulfilling and contented life for theirselves.
